Sarah Hyland was the victim of a home burglary last week.
The 33-year-old Modern Family actress was not at home when she got a virtual alert from her security system.
She alerted the police, who were quick to investigate the attempted burglary.

According to reporting by TMZ, the attempt took place on July 27 before nightfall.
Sarah was out of town but checked her security camera after getting an alert. She reportedly saw two masked men exiting the home via her front door. They entered the property by breaking a window.
Police came and checked the house to make sure that no one was still there. However, they need to wait for Sarah to return home and confirm if anything was stolen.
