According to Martin Gramatica, the Ravens are “100 percent” right to continue using Justin Tucker.

Martin Gramatica, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker, has spoken out in defense of Justin Tucker, saying the Ravens should absolutely stick with their star kicker despite his recent struggles. Tucker, normally known for his consistency, has missed 8 kicks this season, including 2 extra points and 3 field goals in a game against the Eagles that potentially cost the Ravens a win.

Gramatica, however, believes this rough patch is temporary. He expressed confidence that Tucker, one of the most mentally strong kickers in the NFL, will bounce back. “He’s done it forever,” Gramatica said, comparing Tucker to Tom Brady in the sense that, despite a tough season, you don’t bench a proven star like Tucker.

Gramatica also suggested that Tucker’s struggles are likely physical rather than mental, as his kicking mechanics might be temporarily out of whack. Head coach John Harbaugh has expressed confidence in Tucker, and with the Ravens on a bye week, Tucker will have time to regroup before their next game on December 15 against the Giants.
