Kris Jenner and her daughter Khloe Kardashian’s Hidden Hills neighborhood is currently dealing with an unusual “cougar” situation—this time, a real mountain lion! On Wednesday morning, a mountain lion was spotted prowling just a few houses away from Kris’ home. The wildcat was seen weaving through tree branches and even scaling a tree with impressive speed, showing off its agility and ability to hit speeds up to 50 mph.
Residents of Hidden Hills are on edge, especially with children and pets in the area. In response, many have been calling the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) for assistance. However, the agency has a policy that allows mountain lions to roam freely in their natural habitats, and as such, they do not typically intervene unless the situation requires relocation to a safer environment. The neighborhood’s Round Meadow Elementary School even had to be locked down temporarily for safety.
Though it’s unclear where the mountain lion is now, the situation has definitely got the neighborhood on high alert, with residents keeping a close watch and ensuring their homes are secure. The CDFW emphasized that sightings like these are not uncommon near residential areas, particularly in regions adjacent to wildlife habitats.
