Flavor Flav took to X (formerly Twitter) on December 4 to explain why fans didn’t see him during the 2024 Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The 65-year-old rapper claimed that although he was invited to the event, he was escorted to the Backstreet Boys’ dressing room backstage. There, security informed him that NBC did not want him in that area and asked him to leave. Flav expressed his confusion and frustration, asking why he was treated this way, especially after his past positive interactions with NBC, including his appearances at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Flav also shared that NBC’s social media team asked to capture content with him at the same time, which added to his bewilderment. In his tweet, he referred to his past efforts to spread joy and love, stating that he had always aimed to bring positivity. The message was later deleted, with Flav saying his “spirit is broken.” As of now, NBC has not commented on his claims.
Flavor Flav also recently apologized to Taylor Swift for a past incident.
