Man United makes their transfer stance known while Getafe initiates loan talks regarding Mason Greenwood.

Getafe has initiated discussions with Manchester United about the possibility of securing Mason Greenwood on another loan deal.

Reportedly, Manchester United would entertain the idea of another loan arrangement, although their preference would be to sell the forward.

Greenwood finalized a season-long loan transfer to the La Liga outfit on the closing day of the 2023 summer transfer window. During this period, the striker has featured in 32 matches for Getafe, tallying 10 goals and providing six assists.

It is this level of performance that has prompted Getafe to initiate discussions to prolong his tenure in Spain. While Greenwood remains a target for Getafe, there’s an acknowledgment that securing a permanent transfer might pose challenges.

Europe is showing a lot of interest in the Man United player, and the Red Devils are eager to let him go.

The Red Devils suspended the forward in January 2022 after he was taken into custody on charges of violence, rape, and making death threats.

Following the CPS’s dismissal of all charges against Greenwood in February 2023, United initiated an internal investigation and issued a statement announcing their intention to let him go.

With just over a year left on his deal, Greenwood’s summer transfer window will be his last opportunity to fetch a high price.
