The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers will square off in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
Due to an injury, Mitchell Robinson may miss the game for the Knicks, one of their finest players.
One of the team’s most vital players, Robinson averaged 5.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 1.1 blocks, and a 57.5% shooting percentage in 31 games during the regular season.
He did not play in Game 5 of the series, but he did play in Game 6 (which was on Tuesday).
Despite the close nature of the game, the 76ers prevailed 112-106 in overtime.
In his 25 minutes of action, Robinson finished with two points, seven rebounds, three thefts, two blocks, and a half-court percentage of 1/2.
Tyrese Maxey, an All-Star guard, was the main contributor with 46 points, five rebounds, and nine assists in 52 minutes of play. He shot 17/30 from the field and 7/12 from three points.
With a victory on Thursday night, the Knicks, who currently lead the series 3-2, will be able to sweep the 76ers.
The seventh game would take place on Saturday night in Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden.
The winner of the series will play either the Indiana Pacers or the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round (the Pacers lead the series 3-2 as of Thursday).
