Scott McTominay, a midfielder for Manchester United, is running out of time to get healthy after suffering an injury during his most recent game. The 27-year-old was added as a replacement in the 65th minute of Saturday’s match against Burnley, but he was removed near the end after collapsing in the penalty area.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, gave a brief update on his circumstances, saying, “You have seen he has a problem. We must identify the cause of this and get a diagnosis.”
When asked whether McTominay would be ready to play against Crystal Palace on Monday, the manager acknowledged he wasn’t sure.
“At this time, I’m not sure whether to go back. I believe the turnaround time is a little bit too short.”
In the center of the park, Lewis Ferguson of Bologna was injured, and Scotland’s head coach Steve Clarke is already attending to his injuries. McTominay’s comeback date is unknown, but he will be hoping to play for United again before their FA Cup final matchup with Manchester City on May 25.
