Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been snubbed by the Royal Family amid reports of a worsening rift between them.

According to reporting by People, the 39-year-old Duke of Sussex and the 42-year-old Duchess were not invited to join King Charles and the rest of the Royals at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The revelation comes shortly after Prince Harry opened up about the feud in his family and why it was happening.

While participating in the Tabloids on Trial documentary, the Prince said that learning his phone had been hacked by the press, saying that it was a “central piece” to the fallout with his family.

“That’s certainly a central piece to it. But, you know, that’s a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press…I’ve made it very clear that this is something that needs to be done. It would be nice if we, you know, did it as a family. I believe that, again, from a service standpoint and when you are in a public role, that these are the things that we should be doing for the greater good. But, you know, I’m doing this for my reasons,” Prince Harry shared.

He continued, “I think everything that’s played out has shown people what the truth of the matter is. For me, the mission continues, but it has, it has, yes. It’s caused, yeah, as you say, part of a rift.”

Earlier this week, a report suggested that Prince Harry‘s relationship with his father had “deteriorated” to the point where the King was not taking his phone calls. A reason was revealed.
